Hermey "I want to be a dentist" ornament from the Rankin/Bass movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Hermey (sometimes called Herbie) is one of Santa's elves, who while he reluctantly makes toys in the workshop, dreams of becoming a dentist. Always with dentists tools and a dentristy book in hand when Boss Elf isn't looking. Feeling like a misfit he ends up leaving Santa's workshop. He runs into Rudolph and they realize that "We're A Couple Of Misfits" as they sing this duet. They run away together seeking "Fame And Fortune." After returning from their adventures Boss Elf gives in and tells Hermey he can open a dentist office after Christmas. Hermey schedules an appointment for Boss Elf right away.

Hermey measures 3 1/4" tall .
