Winter Warlock, the strange hermit of the North who lives alone in a ghostly palace of ice on the mountain of the Whispering Winds. He is a bad-natured wizard that dislikes anyone trespassing on his land, where he is working on his strange spells and incantations. Captured by Winter Warlocks tree monsters, Kris Kringle wishes to give the Warlock something, a toy. As he presents the toy train to the mean old warlock, his icy heart melts away. He is "reformed", his whole outlook is changed from bad to good. He shares his magic with Kris, showing him how to make a magic crystal snowball. Kris is then able to see the boys and girls, to know when they are sleeping, if they have been good or bad.
